PM Modi highlights India’s November achievements in inspiring ‘Mann ki Baat’ address

November has been a month of remarkable achievements and inspiration for India. From breakthroughs in science and technology to milestones in agriculture, sports, and culture, the nation has witnessed the power of collective effort and youthful innovation. Each success reflects the spirit of a Viksit Bharat, rising through dedication, resilience, and creativity.

On November 26th, Constitution Day was observed with a special program in the Central Hall, while the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram marked the beginning of nationwide celebrations of our cultural heritage. On November 25th, the Dharmadhwaja was hoisted at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and the Panchajanya Memorial was inaugurated at Jyotisar in Kurukshetra, strengthening our bond with history and tradition.

India has made notable strides in science, technology, and defense. The inauguration of the world’s largest leap engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in Hyderabad marked a milestone in aviation. INS Mahe was recently inducted into the Indian Navy in Mumbai, highlighting the growth of indigenous defense capabilities. Skyroot’s Infinity Campus has given a fresh boost to India’s space ecosystem, reflecting the energy, innovation, and vision of our youth.

The nation also achieved a historic milestone in agriculture, with food grain production reaching 357 million tonnes, an increase of 100 million tonnes compared to a decade ago. India has further strengthened its global sporting presence, having been declared the host of the Commonwealth Games. These accomplishments belong to the nation and its citizens, and platforms like 'Mann Ki Baat' celebrate the collective efforts behind them.

Dedication, teamwork, and the courage to rise after failure are key to success. Long before satellites or GPS systems existed, sailors navigated vast oceans using skill and determination. Today, young innovators face similar challenges in space. A recent ISRO-organized drone competition simulated Martian conditions, with drones flying without GPS. Many crashed repeatedly, yet a team from Pune persevered, demonstrating resilience and ingenuity.

This mirrors the journey of Chandrayaan-2. When communication was lost, scientists quickly began planning Chandrayaan-3, which succeeded, showing that overcoming failure builds confidence. This dedication, visible in our youth and scientists alike, is among the greatest strengths of a Viksit Bharat.

India is also achieving new heights in traditional sectors like honey production. Ramban Sulai honey in Jammu and Kashmir has gained recognition after receiving a GI tag. In Karnataka, Gramjanya and Shivganga Kalanjiya have modernized honey production and marketing, improving farmers’ incomes, while the Khiamni-Yangan tribe of Nagaland continues traditional cliff-honey harvesting with care and respect for nature. Over the past eleven years, India’s honey production has more than doubled, and exports have tripled, generating employment and income for thousands.

Cultural heritage continues to inspire. The Mahabharata Experience Centre in Kurukshetra presents the epic through 3D light, sound, and digital displays. The International Gita Mahotsav attracted participants from Europe, Central Asia, and beyond, spreading the teachings of the Gita worldwide. Jam Saheb Maharaja Digvijay Singh of Nawanagar, Gujarat, who sheltered thousands of Polish Jewish children during World War II, was recently honored with a statue in Israel, a testament to humanity and courage.

Natural farming is gaining momentum in South India, with youth adopting ancient practices to protect the environment. The Kashi-Tamil Sangamam, commencing on December 2nd at Namo Ghat, Kashi, celebrates Tamil language and culture, promoting Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat.

India’s security and naval capabilities remain a source of pride. INS Mahe, named after the historic region of Mahe, reflects Kerala and Tamil Nadu’s martial heritage and symbolizes the Navy’s progress toward self-reliance. Naval museums in Diu, Goa, Fort Kochi, Port Blair, Karwar, and Visakhapatnam showcase the country’s maritime history.

Winter tourism is expanding, especially in Uttarakhand, with destinations like Auli, Munsyari, Chopta, and Deyara attracting growing visitors. Adventure sports and marathons are becoming popular, and improved infrastructure and homestays are enhancing the experience. Hills along the Ganga are emerging as popular wedding destinations.

The Vocal for Local initiative continues to strengthen India’s economy and global image. During the G-20 Summit, gifts to world leaders showcased India’s craftsmanship, while domestically citizens increasingly prefer Indian-made products, reflecting a renewed enthusiasm for Swadeshi goods.

November has also been remarkable for sports. Indian women’s teams triumphed in the ICC Women’s World Cup, Deaf Olympics, Kabaddi World Cup, and Blind Cricket World Cup. In the World Boxing Cup Finals, athletes won 20 medals. Endurance sports, marathons, triathlons, and cycling events are rapidly gaining popularity, promoting fitness and resilience.
