Phoenix Hyderabad produced a commanding all-round performance to win the team event at the IGPL Invitational 2026 , hosted by Leander Paes in Mauritius.

The IGPL Invitational 2026 marks a new format in Indian golf, introducing a team-based stroke play competition for the first time. Forty players were selected through a player auction held earlier this month , adding a franchise-style structure to the event.

Each IGPL event this season will include both team and individual competition formats , with cumulative points deciding the ultimate champions. Phoenix Hyderabad’s win gives them an early advantage in the race for the inaugural IGPL team title.

Led by Sachin Baisoya , Phoenix Hyderabad finished at 14-under par over three rounds , narrowly edging past Mumbai’s Atri (13-under) and RVR Delhi (12-under) in a closely fought contest. The victory earned Phoenix Hyderabad 100 points , strengthening their position in the season-long standings of the IGPL series, where team points will be accumulated to crown the overall champions.

Baisoya was the standout performer for Phoenix Hyderabad, delivering consistent rounds of 67-71-67 . His strong showing not only guided his team to victory but also secured him the individual stroke play honours of the tournament. Teenager Veer Ganapathy , representing GolfKonnect Bangalore, finished second in the individual standings, underlining his emerging talent.

The Phoenix Hyderabad squad comprised Sachin Baisoya, Raghav Chugh, Ranjit Singh, and Arjun Bhati , all of whom contributed to the team’s steady performance across the three days. Their combined effort ensured Phoenix stayed ahead in a tightly contested leaderboard.

Mumbai’s Atri team featured experienced and accomplished players including Olympian Udayan Mane, Aman Raj, Aadil Bedi, and Tushar Pannu , while RVR Delhi fielded a strong lineup of Shiv Kapur, Chiragh Kumar, Aryan Roopa Anand, and Gaurav Ghei .
