‘Peddi’ Fever Peaks! Ram Charan’s Tour Turns Into Nationwide Hype Machine

Telugu superstar Ram Charan touched down in Bengaluru on May 24 as part of the sweeping Peddi Powerplay Tour, a city hopping promotional blitz ahead of the film’s worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026 . The tour, which kicked off in Mumbai on May 18 with the trailer launch, included stops at Uppal Stadium, Hyderabad on May 22 and Bengaluru on May 24, and is set to continue to Delhi on May 28 and Chennai on May 30 .

The Peddi press meet brought together the film’s team, with director Buchi Babu Sana , producer Venkata Satish Kilaru , and cinematographer R. Rathnavelu present alongside Ram Charan. Filmmaker Sukumar attended as chief guest and praised Ram Charan’s performance, saying it would create a pan India sensation and calling the film an emotional ride for the big screen. Buchi Babu Sana also addressed the delay from the earlier planned release and urged audiences to watch it in theatres from June 4 .

Peddi is a Telugu language rural sports action drama written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana , produced on a budget of around ₹300 crore under Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment , with music by A. R. Rahman and cinematography by R. Rathnavelu . The film stars Janhvi Kapoor opposite Ram Charan, with Shiva Rajkumar , Jagapathi Babu , and Divyendu Sharma forming a cross regional ensemble cast. At the Mumbai trailer launch, Ram Charan compared the film’s scale to Magadheera and RRR , while Janhvi Kapoor spoke about the two years of dedication behind the project.

The Bengaluru leg carried special significance due to Shiva Rajkumar’s strong fan base in the region. Overseas buzz has also been strong, with North American premiere pre sales crossing $300K , and earlier reports noting record early booking momentum.

The promotions have also seen viral moments. At a musical event in Bhopal on May 23 , where A. R. Rahman performed live and the song Hellallallo was launched, Ram Charan mistakenly referred to Bhopal as Bihar and briefly described cricketer Jasprit Bumrah as a football player during a rapid fire session. He later issued a public apology on X, calling it a genuine human error in excitement.

With the promotional tour moving through key cities, anticipation continues to build as Peddi heads toward its June 4 worldwide release .
