Even as wishes poured in from across the political spectrum after Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan underwent surgery, one crucial detail remained missing: an official medical bulletin.

The Jana Sena Party confirmed that the surgery was successful and that doctors had advised 7 to 10 days of complete rest, but neither the party nor the hospital disclosed the exact nature of the illness, the type of surgery performed, or the hospital where it took place.

According to media reports, Pawan Kalyan was first admitted to a hospital in Vijayawada after falling ill during an official meeting in Amaravati and was later shifted to Hyderabad for further evaluation and surgery. Reports have suggested that he may have been suffering from a spinal disc-related issue, possibly aggravated by an old injury sustained during the shooting of Hari Hara Veera Mallu. However, there has been no official confirmation of these reports.

The absence of a formal health bulletin has led to growing speculation, particularly given Pawan Kalyan’s position as the state’s Deputy Chief Minister. In most cases involving senior political leaders, hospitals issue at least a basic medical note mentioning the procedure, recovery timeline and current condition.

So far, the only official communication has come from the Jana Sena Party and family members, who have stated that he is stable and recovering well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and several other leaders have wished him a speedy recovery.
