Pawan Kalyan Offers Prayers at Guruvayur Temple in Kerala

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan visited the famous Guruvayur Temple in Kerala’s Thrissur district in the early hours of Saturday and offered prayers to Lord Guruvayurappan.

Pawan Kalyan reached the temple around 3 am and took part in the highly revered ‘Nirmalya Darshan’, considered one of the most sacred rituals at the shrine. He entered through the southern entrance, where temple authorities accorded him a traditional welcome.

During the nearly 30-minute darshan, Pawan Kalyan offered silk clothes to the deity and witnessed the special rituals performed inside the sanctum sanctorum with devotion. Temple officials also explained to him the significance of various rituals, including Thailabhishekam, Shankhabhishekam and Vakacharthu.

Following the Nirmalya Darshan, he performed a customary prostration at the rear of the temple as part of the prescribed rituals. He later visited several other shrines within the temple complex, including those dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Hanuman, Anantha Padmanabha Swamy, Bhagavathy and Lord Ayyappa, and offered prayers.

After the darshan, the Guruvayur Mel Shanti and chief priests blessed Pawan Kalyan and presented him with kalabham (sandalwood paste), holy water and prasadam.

The doctors who had provided Ayurvedic therapy to the Deputy Chief Minister also accompanied him during the temple visit.
