Pawan Kalyan keeps his promise during Tadapalli visit

Janasena chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has fulfilled a promise he made to villagers years ago. During his visit to Ippatam village in Guntur district, Pawan received a warm welcome from the locals.

During his tour, Pawan Kalyan visited the home of elderly resident Indla Nageswaramma, who welcomed him warmly. He embraced her and checked on her well-being. Years ago, during the previous YSRCP government’s tenure, villagers claimed that homes of Janasena supporters - including Nageswaramma’s - were demolished, allegedly in retaliation for providing land for a Janasena event. At that time, Pawan had visited the village to console the affected families.

Nageswaramma had then requested Pawan to visit again after being elected, to which he promised he would. Staying true to that commitment, he recently returned to the village, checked on her welfare, and provided assistance. Pawan gifted her clothes, ₹50,000 in cash, and pledged a monthly support of ₹5,000. Additionally, he provided ₹1 lakh for her grandson’s education and ₹3 lakh from the CMRF for her third son’s medical treatment.

The villagers expressed their happiness at seeing Pawan, now Deputy Chief Minister, personally engaging with the community.

However, Pawan’s visit has drawn criticism from some Janasena leaders, who expressed frustration that despite being in power for 18 months, they feel their own areas and work have not received sufficient attention.
