Pawan Kalyan Fulfils Promise to Tribal Villages, Development Works Worth ₹1 Crore Completed

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has reaffirmed his commitment to tribal welfare by ensuring the completion of development works worth nearly ₹1 crore in remote tribal villages of Alluri Sitarama Raju district . The projects were undertaken after the Janasena leader personally visited the region and assured residents that their long-pending civic issues would be addressed.

According to a statement released by the Deputy Chief Minister’s Office on Sunday, Pawan Kalyan had earlier toured Ballagaruvu village in Ananthagiri mandal , where he interacted with tribal families and reviewed local infrastructure needs. During the visit, he also met residents of nearby Velagapadu and Koraparthi villages, listening to their concerns and identifying gaps in essential services.

One of the major issues brought to his attention was the lack of proper buildings for Anganwadi centres, which was causing difficulties for children, women, and staff. Following the visit, officials prepared an action plan by linking available resources, including funds from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) , to expedite the works.

As part of the initiative, three Anganwadi buildings were constructed at a cost of ₹55 lakh . New Anganwadi centres were built in Ballagaruvu and Velagapadu through the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department. In Koraparthi , the Tribal Welfare Engineering Department constructed a compound wall for the Anganwadi centre to improve safety and infrastructure.

The development programme also included the renovation of the local MPP school building , installation of a new borewell , laying of drinking water supply pipelines , and construction of internal cement-concrete roads to improve connectivity and access to basic services.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan said the coalition government is giving the highest priority to the comprehensive development of tribal regions and the welfare of tribal communities. The completion of the promised works within a short period has been welcomed by residents, who say the projects will significantly improve education, childcare, drinking water access, and overall living conditions in the villages.
