Pawan Kalyan flags off Varun Tej’s ‘Bhari’, actor balances dual projects
Production on actor Varun Tej’s upcoming sports drama Bhari commenced with a traditional muhurat ceremony in Hyderabad, attended by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who gave the inaugural clap.
Directed by Yadhu Vamsi , Bhari is set against the backdrop of rural volleyball and is expected to explore themes of competition, community, and grassroots sports culture. The project is being produced by Niharika Konidela under the banner of Pink Elephant Pictures.
The launch event was a close-knit affair, with members of the Mega family in attendance. Actor Ram Charan was among those present, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. Varun Tej later shared images from the ceremony, expressing gratitude to Pawan Kalyan for his support.
The film’s first-look poster, unveiled alongside the launch, features children playing volleyball against a sunset-lit rural landscape, hinting at the film’s thematic tone. Music for the project will be composed by Anudeep Dev. Bhari is currently being planned for a Sankranti 2027 release.
Meanwhile, Varun Tej is also working on another project titled Korean Kanakaraju, indicating a busy slate for the actor as he balances multiple ventures across genres.
