Pawan Kalyan completes shooting for Ustaad Bhagat Singh
Tollywood superstar and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan continues to stay in the limelight, balancing politics and cinema. On September 14, 2025, Mythri Movie Makers announced that he had completed shooting for his upcoming action drama Ustaad Bhagat Singh . Directed by Harish Shankar and inspired by the Tamil hit Theri , the film features Kalyan as a powerful cop alongside Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna. After several delays due to his political commitments, filming resumed in June 2025 and has now wrapped, with an early 2026 release planned.
This development comes soon after Kalyan’s historical action-adventure Hari Hara Veera Mallu: Part 1 – Sword vs Spirit hit theatres earlier this year. Directed by A.M. Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi, the 2025 release showcased the star in the titular role of a legendary warrior, with Nidhhi Agerwal and Bobby Deol in key roles. While the film impressed audiences with its scale, action sequences, and grandeur, it drew mixed reviews for its uneven storytelling.
With Hari Hara Veera Mallu adding a period-drama feather to his cap and Ustaad Bhagat Singh promising a return to his mass-action avatar, fans are eagerly awaiting to see how Pawan Kalyan balances his dual journey as a film star and political leader.
