Patna Coaching Institute Attack: Police Name Khan Sir in FIR, Probe Underway

Popular educator Faisal Khan , widely known as Khan Sir , has been named in an FIR in connection with a vandalism incident at his coaching institute in Bihar’s Patna, police said on Friday.

According to officials, a group of around 15 to 20 people allegedly entered the premises of Khan Global Studies Institute on Tuesday night and carried out vandalism , including stone pelting at the property.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya Sharma confirmed that Khan Sir has been named in the FIR and said he would be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation. However, police have not disclosed the specific charges mentioned in the complaint so far.

The case has taken further twists after two security guards of the coaching centre were detained by police on Thursday in connection with alleged firing during the incident . Their detention followed the circulation of a purported video on social media that appeared to show gunshots being fired, although authorities have not independently verified its authenticity.

Soon after the incident, Khan Sir had alleged that individuals linked to a rival coaching institute were behind the attack. He later clarified that only a formal investigation could establish whether firing had actually taken place during the episode.

On the other hand, representatives of a rival coaching institute held a press conference claiming that Khan Sir himself may have orchestrated the incident , further escalating tensions between both sides.

Police said the investigation is ongoing , and further action will depend on evidence collected, including verification of video footage and statements from all involved parties.

The situation has triggered concern within Patna’s competitive coaching sector, which has seen increasing rivalry in recent years.
