Registrations for Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) , the flagship initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi , have crossed a historic milestone, with over 3 crore students, parents, and teachers registering for the 2026 edition as of December 30, 2025.

First launched in 2018 , Pariksha Pe Charcha was conceptualised as an interactive platform where the Prime Minister engages directly with students, parents, and teachers across the country. Organised annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education , the programme aims to reduce exam-related stress , promote mental well-being , and encourage a positive and confident approach towards learning and examinations .

The initiative has grown significantly over the years, evolving from a live event with select participants to a nationwide digital dialogue , allowing students, parents, and teachers from even remote areas to participate through online registration via the MyGov portal , which opened on December 1, 2025.

Officials said the overwhelming response this year reflects PPC’s rising popularity and its role as a true Jan Andolan , bringing together learners and educators on a common platform. The programme not only addresses academic concerns but also encourages discussions on time management, confidence-building, and effective learning strategies , while emphasising the importance of parental involvement in supporting students.

Experts attribute the growing appeal of PPC to its student-centric approach , focus on mental health , extensive media coverage , and the unique opportunity for young learners to interact with the Prime Minister directly. Over the years, it has emerged as more than just a programme; it has become a nationwide celebration of learning, dialogue, and motivation .

With this historic milestone, Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 continues to inspire millions of students and educators across India, reinforcing the government’s commitment to holistic education and mental well-being .
