A disturbing case has come to light in Hyderabad’s Old City, where parents of minor girls have alleged that local gangs are luring children into drug addiction and sexually exploiting them.

According to the victims’ parents, a local gang led by a man named Adil alias Aziz allegedly trapped their daughters by making them addicted to drugs before repeatedly assaulting them. The parents, speaking in the presence of Union Minister and BJP leader Bandi Sanjay Kumar, broke down as they recounted their ordeal - claiming that even CCTV footage shows the accused taking the girl away under the pretext of supplying drugs.

They said they had filed multiple complaints, but the police failed to act. The parents alleged that the accused continued to roam freely while their daughter, currently under treatment at the Bharosa Centre, is suffering severe trauma. They also claimed that the gang targeted a particular school where many Hindu girls study, yet no arrests have been made so far.

Outraged by the alleged police inaction, the parents urged the Telangana government and authorities to intervene immediately and ensure justice for their daughters.

Bandi Sanjay condemns the incident

BJP leader Bandi Sanjay strongly condemned the incidents, expressing deep concern that minor girls in the Old City were being systematically targeted through drugs. He alleged that the gang’s main victims were Hindu girls, particularly those from West Bengal, who were being trapped under the guise of friendship and sweets laced with narcotics.

He claimed that the gang would initially give the girls small doses of drugs in chocolates, gradually increasing the quantity until they became addicted. Once dependent, the girls were allegedly kidnapped, assaulted multiple times, and blackmailed with explicit photos and videos to lure more minors into the trap.

Allegations against police and political links

Bandi Sanjay accused the local police of turning a blind eye despite repeated complaints from the victims’ families. He alleged that some officers dismissed the issue as “common,” raising suspicions of collusion between the police and the drug network.

He also hinted at political backing for the accused, claiming that members of the Majlis (AIMIM) were protecting them, influencing police transfers, and helping the culprits evade arrest. Bandi Sanjay drew parallels to incidents depicted in “The Kerala Files” movie, warning that similar patterns were emerging in Hyderabad’s Charminar area.

He further cautioned that if the government fails to act, the BJP would organize a rally of Hindu youth in the Old City demanding justice.

Call for immediate action

The BJP has demanded swift action from the state government to arrest the accused and dismantle the drug-sex racket. Bandi Sanjay warned that if the Telangana government fails to respond, the Centre might be forced to step in.

He cautioned that ignoring such crimes in the Old City could allow the menace to spread to other parts of Hyderabad, endangering more children.
