Padma Shri Mogulayya meets KTR

Padma Shri awardee and celebrated Telangana folk literature artist, Darshanam Mogulayya, met BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Saturday at his residence. During the meeting, KTR enquired about Mogulayya’s health and well-being, assuring him of his support. Mogulayya shared that his eyesight had weakened and that he was facing difficulties in getting proper treatment. Responding immediately, KTR assured him that he would take responsibility for providing complete treatment at LV Prasad Eye Hospital in Hyderabad.

KTR Intervenes on Mogulayya’s Land Issue

Mogulayya also brought up difficulties related to a 600-square-yard plot allotted to him in Hayathnagar Mandal by the previous government. He explained to KTR the challenges he was facing from certain individuals and the legal cases filed against him. KTR promptly contacted Rangareddy District Collector Narayana Reddy and requested immediate action to resolve the matter and ensure justice for Mogulayya.

Mogulayya informed KTR that some individuals had even demolished structures he had built on the land. KTR instructed the Collector to provide protection to Mogulayya and his family and offered assistance in handling any ongoing legal cases related to the property.

Mogulayya Expresses Gratitude

During the meeting, Mogulayya expressed his gratitude to KTR, recalling that his recognition in the world of art came through KCR’s support when he was playing the kinnari in forests. He said that it was KCR’s recognition that brought his art to wider attention, eventually leading to him being awarded the Padma Shri. Mogulayya thanked KTR for his continuous support to his family and requested his help in resolving the land dispute and related court cases.
