The Andhra Pradesh government has introduced the ‘P4’ ( Public–Private–People Partnership ) model to eliminate poverty by making citizens active participants in the development process.

The initiative focuses on identifying the poorest families and supporting them with financial assistance and skill development to help them achieve sustainable livelihoods and improved living standards.

In a major boost, smartphone manufacturer Oppo India has contributed ₹50.5 lakh to the programme. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu welcomed the gesture, stating that corporate support reflects growing commitment toward social responsibility.

He also appreciated Tasleem Arif, Managing Director of Oppo India’s R&D division, for his role in facilitating the contribution, noting that such involvement can inspire more companies to support social initiatives.

The Chief Minister said the programme has shown encouraging progress within its first year, with increasing participation from corporates, voluntary organisations and private partners, strengthening efforts to build a poverty-free Andhra Pradesh.

He assured that the funds would be used with transparency for the economic upliftment of deserving families and reiterated his goal of ensuring every poor household secures a stable income.
