Delhi Police have arrested three individuals and seized more than one kilogram of heroin valued at approximately ₹2 crore in the international market, officials said on Tuesday. The arrests led to the dismantling of an interstate narcotics network operating between Uttar Pradesh and the national capital.

The accused have been identified as Faeem Beg (29), Kayum Khan (33), and Amir Khan (28) , all residents of Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the trio was involved in the procurement, transportation, and distribution of heroin across Delhi-NCR and several districts in Uttar Pradesh , including Shamli and Saharanpur.

The operation was launched after police received a tip-off on February 22 that Beg would deliver a consignment of heroin near the Anand Vihar railway underpass in east Delhi . Acting on the information, a police team laid a trap and apprehended Beg and Kayum Khan at the location. During the raid, officers recovered two packets of heroin weighing 101 grams and 601 grams from their possession.

Following their arrest, police registered a case and began further investigation. During interrogation, Beg disclosed that he had been sourcing heroin from associates in his native village in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh and supplying it to drug peddlers operating in Delhi-NCR as well as in Shamli and Saharanpur.

Based on this information, police conducted follow-up raids in Uttar Pradesh and arrested Amir Khan on February 27 . At his instance, an additional 301 grams of heroin was recovered from his family’s farmland.

Police said Amir Khan played a key role in the network by procuring heroin from his contacts and distributing it through couriers to different locations. He has previously been involved in three narcotics-related cases. Authorities are continuing efforts to identify and apprehend other members linked to the syndicate.
