At a large-scale meeting of BRS workers held in Ibrahimpatnam following the municipal election results, the party’s Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy .

He said that power is never permanent , accusing the Chief Minister of deceiving all sections of society with arrogance and of illegally acquiring lands of the poor to benefit his family members and close associates. KTR remarked that Revanth Reddy would be remembered as a “disgrace in Telangana’s history.”

KTR expressed happiness over the BRS retaining its strength in the Ibrahimpatnam and Kothapalli municipalities despite what he termed Congress irregularities. He alleged that although a majority of councillors supported BRS, the Congress tried to capture power through illegal means , but “ justice ultimately prevailed .”

Criticising the Pharma City and “Fourth City” proposals, KTR accused the Congress government of betraying farmers. He said that while the party had promised before elections to return lands to farmers , it is now attempting to introduce a new project under the name of “Fourth City” on the same lands.

He termed the government’s stance contradictory, stating that it claims in court that Pharma City exists while publicly proposing a Fourth City. He alleged that there are attempts to acquire another 16,000 acres from farmers, calling it a conspiracy to benefit family members and associates .

KTR further criticised the government for failing to resolve existing urban issues, saying it is misleading people with promises of future cities. He pointed out that mosquito-related problems continue to trouble residents while the government talks about futuristic projects, calling it “ridiculous.”

He also alleged that the government plans to shift the 178-acre fruit market in Koheda towards the Rachakonda hills to facilitate the sale of that land.

KTR strongly criticised the expansion of the prohibited lands list, claiming that the Congress government has increased it from 16 lakh acres to 1 crore acres . He accused the government of “blackmailing people” by widening the scope of such lands instead of resolving issues.

He further alleged that Revenue officials and ministers are pressuring collectors to carry out land settlements.

KTR also spoke about alleged corruption by local MLAs, accusing them of collecting monthly payments from hotels, bars, and crushers . He warned that such practices would soon come to an end.

Stating that “ our government will return ,” KTR asserted that every official involved in irregularities would be identified and punished. He cautioned officials against succumbing to political pressure and urged them to work in the interest of the people .

Expressing confidence, KTR said the BRS, which had faced a difficult phase, would soon regain strength and return to power with public support. He added that the party would continue its struggle for the people until then.
