Oriental Insurance Opens Online Applications for 300 AO Positions

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) has issued a notification announcing the recruitment of 300 Administrative Officers (AOs) for the 2025 cycle. The online application window has been opened from December 1, 2025, and will remain active until December 15, 2025 on the official website orientalinsurance.org.in.

According to the notification, the vacancies have been divided into 285 posts for Generalist AOs and 15 posts for Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers. Candidates holding a Graduate or Postgraduate degree are eligible to apply for the Generalist category, while specific qualifications in Hindi and English have been prescribed for Hindi Officers.

Applicants have been informed that the recruitment process will be carried out through Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview, with the Tier-I exam tentatively scheduled for January 10, 2026, and the Tier-II exam on February 28, 2026.

For the Generalist positions, candidates must possess a Graduate or Postgraduate degree with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).

For the Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officer posts, a Master’s degree in Hindi or English, or other accepted combinations with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects, must have been obtained with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).

The age limit has been fixed between 21 and 30 years as on November 30, 2025. Only candidates born between December 1, 1995, and November 30, 2004, are considered eligible.

The basic pay for the Administrative Officer post has been notified as ₹50,925, under the pay scale ₹50,925–96,765. Including allowances, total monthly emoluments are expected to be around ₹85,000 in metropolitan cities. Additional benefits such as pension under the NPS, gratuity, medical coverage, leave travel subsidy, and group accident insurance will also be provided as per company rules. Eligible officers may also receive company or leased accommodation.

The application fee is ₹250 (including GST) for SC, ST, and PwBD categories, and ₹1,000 (including GST) for all other candidates. Fees must be paid online between December 1 and December 15, 2025. It has been notified that the fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The selection process for the OICL Administrative Officer recruitment will be conducted in three phases, beginning with the Preliminary Examination, which will consist of an online objective test for 100 marks. Candidates who qualify in this stage will be permitted to appear for the Main Examination, which includes a two-hour objective test with section-wise timing, followed by a 30-minute descriptive test carrying 30 marks. Those shortlisted from the Main Examination will be called for the final phase, the Interview, for which dates will be announced later. The online application process has been scheduled from December 1 to December 15, 2025, with fee payments allowed during the same period. The Tier-I Preliminary Examination is tentatively set for January 10, 2026, while the Tier-II Main Examination is expected to be held on February 28, 2026.

Applicants are required to register through the "Apply Online" link on the OICL website. A provisional registration number and password will be issued upon completing the initial registration. Candidates have been advised to verify all details before final submission, as no changes will be permitted after completing the registration process.
