Oppo Set to launch Reno 15 Lineup featuring dimensity 8450 Chipset and Triple-Camera setup
The Oppo Reno 15 series is scheduled to be launched in China on November 17, 2025, as the successor to the Reno 14 lineup, which was introduced last year. The upcoming series is expected to include three handsets, possibly named Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and a compact model likely to be called Reno 15C, according to leaks shared by tipsters. The company has not yet confirmed the full specifications or global availability of the devices.
Details of the Oppo Reno 15 Pro have been widely discussed online after the model was spotted on Geekbench with a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, the same processor used in the Reno 14 Pro. The listing has hinted that the new smartphone could retain a similar performance profile while receiving improvements in display, camera, and battery capabilities.
According to reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station, the Reno 15 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat display with a 1.5K resolution (1,272×2,772 pixels) and 1.15mm thin bezels. The handset is likely to come with a metal frame, offering a more premium design. The compact version, previously referred to as the Reno 15 Mini , may reportedly launch as the Reno 15C and could include a 6.32-inch display.
In the optics department, the Reno 15 Pro is tipped to feature a triple rear camera system, comprising a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. The design of a triple-camera setup has already been teased by Oppo through official promotional images. On the front, the smartphone is said to house a 50-megapixel selfie camera, suggesting that photography will remain one of the main highlights of the series.
The device is expected to measure 161.26×76.46×7.65mm and weigh about 205 grams, according to leaks. It may carry a 6,500mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless fast charging, aligning with Oppo’s recent emphasis on long battery life and fast power delivery. Support for USB 2.0 connectivity is also said to be included.
In terms of memory and storage, the handset may offer configurations of up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage, positioning it among the top-tier options in its category. However, Oppo has not issued an official confirmation on these technical specifications, and they remain based on pre-launch leaks.
Competition in the Segment
The Oppo Reno 15 series will enter a highly competitive mid-premium smartphone segment, where several brands are vying for market share through design, camera, and performance improvements.
It will face direct competition from Vivo V40 Pro, Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro, Realme GT 8 Pro, OnePlus 13R, and iQOO Neo 10 Pro, all of which are expected to feature high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays and flagship-level performance at similar price points.
The Vivo V40 Pro focuses on imaging technology co-developed with Zeiss, while the Realme GT 8 Pro and iQOO Neo 10 Pro emphasize gaming performance and fast charging. The OnePlus 13R and Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro are likely to rival the Reno 15 Pro in design and display quality. Additionally, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A78 5G and Google Pixel 9a, expected to debut in early 2026, will also compete in this category, targeting users who prefer software longevity and advanced image processing respectively.
Market Outlook
With its expected combination of premium design, high-resolution camera setup, and fast-charging capabilities, the Oppo Reno 15 Pro is anticipated to appeal to users seeking a balance between style and performance. If the leaked specifications are accurate, the smartphone will challenge both domestic and global brands in the mid-premium segment.
While the official pricing and availability details have not been released, more information is expected to be announced at the China launch event on November 17. Until then, most of the circulating specifications should be treated as unofficial and subject to change.
