One Dead, One Injured in Factory Boiler Blast in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas

A 55-year-old worker was killed and another sustained serious injuries after a boiler exploded at a factory in Taldharia, under the Duttapukur police station area of North 24 Parganas district, West Bengal, on Friday. The incident has once again drawn attention to the importance of industrial safety standards and workplace compliance in manufacturing units.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Sanjoy Samanta (55). The injured worker was rushed to Barasat Medical College and Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. Authorities have not yet disclosed the injured person's identity. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion, while officials are examining whether any lapses in boiler maintenance, operational procedures, or safety protocols contributed to the accident.
