Suspended BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has made sensational claims against both the BRS and Congress governments, accusing them of corruption and illegal practices. She stated that if she becomes Chief Minister one day, she will investigate all injustices that have occurred since Telangana was formed in 2014.

Speaking to the media in Hyderabad, Kavitha strongly rejected allegations against her family, particularly her husband. She claimed that rumors linking her family to the Congress are baseless and part of a conspiracy by BRS leaders. Kavitha also revealed that notices were sent to BRS MLA Madhavaram Krishnarao, BJP leader Eleti Maheshwar Reddy, and T News Channel, warning them of legal action if apologies are not issued.

Kavitha raised concerns over government land leases under the BRS regime, claiming private individuals were given land through signatures authorized by the government. She stated that the truth about these land allocations and the people behind them will come to light in due course.

Kavitha outlined her intention to investigate irregularities that occurred since the formation of Telangana. She defended her husband against allegations and claimed that his phone was allegedly tapped on the instructions of some BRS leaders. She added that she plans to share the information she has gathered on land-related irregularities with agencies such as the CBI, ED, and Vigilance.

Kavitha also clarified that she had limited influence during the BRS government’s ten-year rule because her political role was confined to the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency. Although she wanted to contest in Lok Sabha elections, the party nominated her as an MLC instead.

Kavitha questioned the BRS government’s policies regarding industrial land transformation, highlighting misuse of land meant for public welfare. She accused the government of selling off land intended for hospitals, schools, and affordable housing to private parties, directly questioning BRS leader KTR’s role in approving these transactions.

Kavitha did not spare the current Congress government either. She criticized CM A. Revanth Reddy, who came to power branding BRS as a corrupt party, for not taking any action against corruption. She also alleged that Congress leaders are silent because they have ties with individuals who benefited under the previous government. According to her, the CM seems uninterested in public welfare or fulfilling promises related to tackling corruption.

Kavitha reiterated her resolve to conduct a full investigation into all irregularities and injustices since Telangana’s formation if she becomes Chief Minister. She emphasized that she and her family have done nothing wrong and expressed confidence that the truth will ultimately prevail.
