Ola Electric is intensifying its production and inventory efforts ahead of the festive season, aiming to significantly reduce vehicle delivery times, according to company sources. Currently, customers wait 12-14 days for their scooters, but the company is working to shorten handover periods to enhance the buying experience during peak demand.

A senior company official noted that speed of delivery will play a key role in differentiating the brand this festive season. To meet this objective, Ola plans to increase stock levels across its retail network, ensuring that customers face minimal waiting times.

Over the past few quarters, Ola Electric has moved away from a discount-driven sales approach, instead focusing on profitability and sustainable growth. While competitors are expected to offer 10-12% festive discounts, Ola has emphasized maintaining EBITDA margins rather than resorting to deep price cuts.

The company has already sold over one million electric vehicles, nearly twice the sales of its nearest competitor, TVS Motor, underlining its leadership in the electric two-wheeler market.

The S1 Pro Gen 3 continues to be the flagship model, contributing the majority of recent deliveries. With upgraded hardware and software, this scooter is expected to remain the primary driver of festive season sales.

Industry analysts point out that two-wheeler sales usually peak during festivals, making it critical for manufacturers to balance demand fulfillment with financial prudence. Ola Electric’s strategy of combining faster deliveries with a profitability-oriented approach positions it to capture the seasonal surge while maintaining fiscal discipline.

By prioritizing inventory readiness and timely handovers, Ola Electric aims to strengthen customer satisfaction and consolidate its market presence in India’s expanding electric mobility sector.
