OICL 300 Administrative Officer Posts Announced,last date to apply 18 dec

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL) has released an official notification for the recruitment of 300 Administrative Officers (AO) across Generalist and Hindi (Rajbhasha) categories. Eligible candidates have been invited to apply online through the official website, orientalinsurance.org.in . The online application process began on December 1, 2025, and will close on December 18, 2025.

According to the notification, 285 vacancies have been notified for Administrative Officer (Generalist) posts, while 15 vacancies are earmarked for Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officers. The recruitment is being conducted to strengthen administrative and official language functions within the public sector insurance company.

For Generalist Officer posts, candidates are required to possess a graduate or postgraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60 per cent marks, while SC/ST candidates are eligible with 55 per cent marks. For Hindi (Rajbhasha) Officer posts, candidates must hold a Master’s degree with prescribed combinations of Hindi and English, as detailed in the official notification, with the same minimum marks criteria.

The age limit, as on November 30, 2025, has been fixed between 21 and 30 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than December 1, 1995, and not later than November 30, 2004, both dates inclusive. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government norms.

Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of ₹50,925–96,765, with a basic pay of ₹50,925. The gross monthly emoluments are expected to be around ₹85,000 in metropolitan cities, inclusive of allowances. Additional benefits include pension under the New Pension Scheme, gratuity, medical benefits, leave travel subsidy, group personal accident insurance, and eligibility for company or leased accommodation as per norms.

The application fee has been fixed at ₹250 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates, which includes intimation charges only. For all other candidates, the fee is ₹1,000, inclusive of GST. The fee, once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances.

The selection process will be conducted in multiple phases. Phase I will consist of an online preliminary examination with objective-type questions for 100 marks. Phase II, the main examination, will include an objective test of two hours and a descriptive English test of 30 minutes, comprising an essay and précis. Candidates shortlisted from the main examination will be called for the interview, the schedule for which will be announced separately.

As per the tentative schedule, the Tier I examination is likely to be held on January 10, 2026, while the Tier II examination is expected on February 28, 2026.

Candidates have been advised to apply only through the official OICL website and ensure that all personal and educational details are filled in correctly, as no changes will be permitted after final submission.
