
Odisha Clears Rs 4,573 Crore Investment Push, 23 Projects to Create Nearly 23,000 Jobs
In a major push to accelerate industrial growth, strengthen infrastructure and generate employment, the Odisha government has approved 23 investment proposals worth Rs 4,573 crore, paving the way for nearly 23,000 new jobs across the state.
The proposals received clearance from the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg, and will be implemented across 11 districts, Angul, Balangir, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Puri and Sundargarh.
Among the biggest investments is HCL Technologies Ltd's proposed Global Development Centre in Khurda, which will be established with an investment of Rs 730 crore. The project is expected to further strengthen Odisha's position as an emerging technology and IT destination.
The authority also approved ACME Cleantech Solutions Pvt Ltd's proposal to establish an alkaline electrolyser manufacturing unit in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 778 crore, reinforcing the state's focus on clean energy and green manufacturing.
Several other significant projects also secured approval. These include a zinc anode battery manufacturing unit in Cuttack worth Rs 202.5 crore, a 100-MW ground-mounted solar photovoltaic captive power plant in Angul with an investment of Rs 351 crore, and a ready-made garment manufacturing unit in Puri involving Rs 254 crore.
The state also cleared a chemicals manufacturing facility in Ganjam with an investment of Rs 343 crore, along with a 300-bed multi-speciality hospital in Cuttack, which will be developed at a cost of Rs 275.89 crore.
Boosting the tourism and hospitality sector, the government approved proposals for three five-star hotels to be developed in Cuttack, Sambalpur and Khurda, with a combined investment exceeding Rs 260 crore.
The latest approvals underline Odisha's continued efforts to attract investments across diverse sectors including information technology, renewable energy, manufacturing, healthcare, textiles and hospitality, while expanding employment opportunities and supporting long-term economic growth across the state.
