No tolerance for official negligence: Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has made it clear that the government will not tolerate negligence or laxity from officials and employees. He stressed that all welfare and development schemes must reach every eligible beneficiary without delay, and that officers must work with complete dedication and accountability.

The Deputy CM was speaking during a review meeting on education and welfare sectors held at the Khammam District Collector’s Office, attended by senior district officials. He reminded officials that government systems run on public money and that every responsibility must be discharged with a sense of answerability to the people.

Bhatti Vikramarka said the government has given full freedom to officials to work efficiently in the interest of the state’s progress. However, he warned that negligence will no longer be accepted under any circumstances. He reiterated the government’s long-term vision of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with strong focus on education and human resource development.

As part of this vision, the government is making significant investments in the education sector by strengthening infrastructure in integrated residential schools, government schools, Zilla Parishad schools and residential institutions. He also said that pending bills under welfare schemes are being cleared on priority, and strict action will be taken against those responsible for unnecessary delays.

Highlighting support for tribal farmers, the Deputy CM said the “Indira Solar Giri Jalavikasam” scheme is being implemented to provide free solar power, pump sets, drip irrigation and plantation facilities. He added that the government is also promoting green energy by installing solar plants on government buildings to increase renewable energy usage.

Following the review meeting, Bhatti Vikramarka paid a surprise visit to the Telangana Tribal Welfare Girls’ Gurukul Degree College in Konijerla Mandal of the Wyra constituency. He interacted with students, shared a meal with them, and personally inspected hostel facilities and the quality of teaching.

During his visit to the library, he reviewed the availability of resources for competitive exams and appreciated the students’ initiative in making mosquito-repellent incense sticks. He suggested branding and marketing these products to create income-generating opportunities for students.

Emphasising student health, creativity and environmental protection, the Deputy CM encouraged activities such as tree plantation. He concluded by stating that every decision taken by the government is aimed at improving public welfare and building a stronger future for Telangana.
