No One Is Bigger Than the Party, Says Nara Lokesh
Andhra Pradesh Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh has called on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders and training instructors to follow party decisions and work towards common organisational goals, asserting that no individual is bigger than the party. He urged leaders to take Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as their role model and place the organisation's interests above personal ambitions.
Lokesh made these remarks during a ‘Meet and Greet’ programme with TDP training instructors at the party's central office in Mangalagiri on Friday. He said training had been completed for 8,300 cluster and booth in-charges across Andhra Pradesh. The party aims to train a total of 50,000 members as part of its efforts to strengthen its grassroots network.
During a separate review of the party's digital wing, ITDP, Lokesh stressed the need to build a strong organisational system rather than relying on individual leaders. He directed officials to complete the formation of ITDP committees at the earliest and ensure that every member is linked to the My TDP app.
He also asked ITDP members to use social media more effectively to communicate the coalition government's welfare schemes and development initiatives to the public. The minister emphasised the need to take information about government programmes to people quickly and strengthen the party's digital outreach.
In another engagement on Friday, renowned chess player Koneru Humpy and her father, Ashok, met Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli.
The minister congratulated Humpy on India's bronze-medal finish in the women's section of the Chess Olympiad 2026. He also praised her for securing an individual bronze medal while playing on Board 1 at the tournament.
The day's engagements reflected Lokesh's focus on party discipline, organisational development, digital communication and recognition of sporting achievements.
