Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has reassured citizens that there is no need to worry about LPG shortages despite international conflicts affecting global energy supplies. Speaking at a Gram Sabha in Surampalli , Krishna district, he said that while unrest in the Middle East has slightly disrupted transport, the state government is coordinating with the central authorities to ensure uninterrupted gas availability. A special cabinet sub-committee has been formed to continuously monitor LPG supplies.

The CM highlighted that tensions between the United States , Israel, and Iran have disrupted global supply chains . He noted that both imports and exports, including commodities previously sent to Gulf countries, have been affected, but stressed that the crisis is temporary and the government is taking all precautions to prevent inconvenience.

Naidu also criticized the previous YSR Congress government, citing irregularities in the use of ghee for Tirumala Laddu prasadam and alleging attempts to suppress investigations through a Supreme Court “gag order.” He further accused the former administration of leaving the state heavily in debt and blocking investments over the past five years.

Focusing on development, the CM promised to complete the Polavaram project by the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu and announced a modern “Cocoa City” across 500 acres in Eluru district. To support agriculture, 25,187 farmers received advanced farming equipment, and they were advised to begin early kharif cultivation by May 15 to protect crops from adverse weather.

Under the “Annadata Sukhibhava – PM Kisan” scheme, the state credited ₹2,676 crore directly into the accounts of around 47 lakh farmers, providing ₹6,000 per farmer as the third installment. With previous payments totaling ₹14,000, the total annual support now amounts to ₹20,000 per farmer. Ministers, senior officials, and a large number of farmers attended the event.
