No LPG Shortage in Andhra Pradesh: Minister Nadendla Manohar

State Food , Civil Supplies Minister , Nadendla Manohar has clarified that there is no LPG shortage in the state and urged people not to panic . He stated that sufficient gas reserves are available to meet both domestic and commercial needs.

In view of the international conflict situation, the minister held a teleconference with senior officials to review the LPG supply position in the state. He said the government is taking proactive steps to ensure that consumers do not face any inconvenience.

The minister noted that the distribution system in the state is being monitored regularly. Officials have been directed to ensure that household consumers receive uninterrupted supply. He also reviewed the availability of daily reserves to meet the state’s demand.

Manohar explained that LPG is currently being supplied through multiple channels, including the HPCL Visakhapatnam Refinery , the Hassan–Cherlapally pipeline from Mangaluru, and distribution networks operated by HPCL, BPCL, and IOC in Visakhapatnam. Authorities are closely monitoring these systems to prevent any disruption.

He added that, if necessary, the government may rearrange allocations by prioritizing domestic consumers over commercial usage to maintain smooth supply to households.

Although concerns have emerged due to global war-like developments, the minister clarified that there has been no impact on the state’s LPG supply so far. He also pointed out that the Central Government is closely monitoring the gas supply situation across the country. Adequate stocks are available, and there is no immediate threat of shortage, he said.

The minister also instructed officials to intensify vigilance measures in all districts to prevent illegal diversion of LPG cylinders into the black market. He directed Joint Collectors to closely supervise the supply chain and ensure strict compliance.

Additionally, Manohar ordered strict action against traders who spread rumors about LPG shortages and attempted to raise prices. He advised the public not to believe misinformation on social media and assured that the government is continuously monitoring the situation to ensure uninterrupted LPG supply across the state.
