In a disclosure that has gripped the nation, a suicide note purportedly written by Jeffrey Epstein was unsealed Wednesday by a federal judge, made public for the very first time after being originally sealed as part of a criminal case against his cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione .

The raw, handwritten note pulls no punches. In its entirety, it reads: "They investigated me for months - Found nothing!!! It is a treat to be able to choose one's time to say goodbye. Watcha want me to do - Bust out cryin!! No fun - Not worth it!" The words "No Fun" appear strikingly underlined , as though pressed with particular conviction.

Tartaglione claimed he discovered the note tucked inside a graphic novel after Epstein was found on the floor of their cell at a Manhattan federal jail on July 23, 2019 , with a strip of bedsheet around the financier's neck, roughly three weeks before Epstein was found dead.

Intriguingly, Epstein appears to have used the phrase "watcha want me to do - burst out cryin" in an email as far back as 2016 , released by the Justice Department, raising pointed questions about the note's true origins.

The note was never mentioned in any government report examining the circumstances of Epstein's death, nor did it surface among the Justice Department's sweeping recent file releases.

Epstein's brother Mark flatly rejected the note's legitimacy, while Democratic Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi formally called for its release, writing that "the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein deserve a full and transparent accounting." The truth, much like the man himself, remains fiercely contested.
