No Clash Ahead? ‘Spirit’ Sticks To 2027 Release Plan Amid Eid Talk

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has clarified that Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ , starring Prabhas and backed by T-Series , remains firmly locked for its March 5, 2027 worldwide release, with no changes to the schedule.

The clarification comes amid speculation triggered by Bollywood star Salman Khan’s upcoming untitled action film with director Vamshi Paidipally (tentatively titled SVC63 ), which is being planned around Eid 2027 (March 10) . The development has sparked industry buzz about a potential festive box office overlap, although both projects currently maintain separate release paths.

According to trade updates, Salman Khan’s film, which marks a continuation of his strong Eid release tradition, is progressing steadily with Nayanthara in the lead role. Reports also suggest that actors like Fahadh Faasil or Akshaye Khanna are being considered for antagonist roles, adding to the project’s scale.

Meanwhile, ‘Spirit’ , produced by Bhushan Kumar and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga , continues its pre-production and action design work at a large scale. The team is reportedly preparing for massive action rehearsals starting May 7 , indicating strong progress on the film’s high-octane sequences.

The Prabhas-led project, also featuring Triptii Dimri , Vivek Oberoi , and newcomer Aishwarya Desai , is being developed as a pan-world action entertainer and will be released in eight languages .

Industry sources suggest that despite early chatter of a possible clash window in March 2027, both ‘Spirit’ and Salman Khan’s film are currently structured in a way that avoids direct overlap, targeting early 2027 audiences separately.
