Nitin Nabin Hails BJP Elevation as Party’s Blessing, Eyes Generational Leadership Role

Newly appointed BJP national working president Nitin Nabin on Monday described his elevation as a “blessing of the party” and expressed gratitude to the leadership for the trust placed in him.

The Bihar PWD minister , who is a five-time MLA representing Bankipur constituency , said he would continue the work of his late father, Nabin Kishor Prasad Sinha , a former BJP MLA. Speaking to reporters after paying floral tributes at his father’s statue in Patna, Nabin said, “I have always worked on the ideas of my father, who considered the party as his mother and prioritised the nation over everything. I think that is the reason the party has blessed me with this opportunity to continue working with BJP workers.”

He also visited Patna’s Mahavir Mandir to offer prayers.Nabin’s appointment on Sunday as national working president comes amid expectations that he may eventually succeed JP Nadda as BJP’s national president, signalling a generational shift in the party’s leadership. Party sources describe him as dynamic, ideologically rooted, and deeply committed, with strong organizational experience stemming from his RSS background.

He expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and praised his leadership, saying, “Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, development has reached every town and village of the country. At the same time, Bharatiya Janata Party has also expanded its footprint and stands today as the party of the poor.” Nabin emphasised that “no class in India today is left untouched” by the development schemes of the NDA government.

Highlighting the concept of Antyodaya, Nabin said it was pioneered by leaders like Deendayal Upadhyaya and Syama Prasad Mookerjee, promoted by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and now implemented nationwide by PM Modi, reaching every village and town.

On the party’s electoral strategy, he stated, “Be it Bengal, Assam, or Uttar Pradesh, our party workers are always ready. This is the beauty of Bharatiya Janata Party. Others work during elections, but BJP karyakartas work 24x7.”

At 45 years old , Nitin Nabin is considered a youthful yet experienced leader , blending regional political strength, family legacy, governance experience, and organizational commitment. Serving twice as a minister in the Bihar government, he has gained practical administrative experience while maintaining a strong grassroots connection.
