The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has announced a significant recruitment drive aimed at reinforcing its administrative leadership, technical capabilities and student development ecosystem. Issued under Recruitment Advertisement No. 05/2025 , the notification invites online applications for seven senior Group A and Group B positions , marking a strategic step in strengthening the institute’s core operational framework.

The recruitment window, which opened on December 15, 2025 , will remain active until January 31, 2026 , with applications accepted exclusively through the institute’s official careers portal. In line with its inclusive approach, NIT Warangal has reiterated its commitment to gender balance, explicitly encouraging women candidates to apply.

Among the most prominent roles is that of the Principal Students Activity and Sports (SAS) Officer , a senior leadership position focused on enhancing campus life beyond academics. With responsibilities spanning sports administration, cultural engagement and student welfare, the role underscores the institute’s growing emphasis on holistic education. The position offers a senior pay scale and seeks professionals with extensive experience in university-level sports and student activities.

The notification also highlights the institute’s focus on infrastructure and digital transformation. The recruitment of a Superintending Engineer and a Senior Technical Officer reflects NIT Warangal’s intent to strengthen engineering oversight and IT-driven campus systems. As the institute continues to expand its academic and research footprint, these roles are expected to play a crucial part in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, digital platforms, enterprise resource systems and campus-wide network security.

Further strengthening the administrative backbone, the institute has announced two Assistant Registrar posts and two Assistant Engineer positions on deputation basis. These roles are critical to ensuring efficient academic administration, regulatory compliance and smooth execution of engineering and maintenance operations. Experienced officers from government departments, universities and public sector undertakings are being sought to bring proven expertise into these functions.

This recruitment drive forms part of a broader expansion strategy at NIT Warangal. Over the past year, the institute has undertaken multiple hiring initiatives across faculty, administrative and specialist roles, reflecting a comprehensive effort to build a resilient and future-ready campus. Strong placement outcomes and sustained academic performance have further reinforced NIT Warangal’s reputation as a leading institution, making it an attractive destination for senior professionals.

Selections will primarily be conducted through interviews, with provisions for written or skill-based assessments if required. Selected candidates will be offered competitive pay, central government benefits and access to campus facilities, subject to availability.

With this recruitment initiative, NIT Warangal signals a forward-looking vision—investing in experienced professionals to support academic excellence, modern infrastructure and vibrant student life in the years ahead.
