Nirmal Collector Bhavesh Mishra Turns Teacher, Teaches English to Class 10 Girls

Nirmal District Collector Bhavesh Mishra stepped beyond his administrative role and took on that of a teacher during a visit to a residential girls’ school in Edapally, interacting directly with Class 10 students and teaching them an English lesson.

Mishra visited the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) and the Telangana Residential School and Junior College on Wednesday as part of his inspection of the institutions. During his visit, he entered a Class 10 classroom and personally conducted an English lesson for the students.

Rather than limiting the interaction to a routine inspection, the Collector engaged the girls through questions while explaining the lesson. His approach allowed him to assess their understanding, comprehension and learning abilities while also encouraging them to participate actively in the classroom.

Mishra advised the students to overcome their fear of English and develop confidence in the language. He encouraged them to take their studies seriously, set clear goals and work consistently towards achieving them.

The Collector also stressed the importance of hard work and determination, urging the girls to pursue their ambitions and strive for academic excellence. He told them that their efforts would not only help them build a better future but also make their parents and teachers proud.

As part of the visit, Mishra also presented gifts to the students, further encouraging them in their academic journey.

His hands-on interaction with the students went beyond the usual scope of a school inspection, giving him an opportunity to directly observe their classroom participation and learning levels. The initiative also underlined the importance of quality education, student confidence and holistic development alongside regular school administration.

Mishra’s decision to step into the classroom and personally teach the students received appreciation locally, with his direct engagement seen as an encouraging approach towards understanding students’ needs and motivating them to perform better academically.
