Newly Appointed Teachers Rally in Kurnool Against Mega DSC Allegations

Newly appointed teachers recruited through Mega DSC-2025 held a large “self-respect” rally in Kurnool on Saturday, opposing allegations of irregularities in the recruitment process raised by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). The teachers said political allegations were unfair to candidates who had secured their jobs through merit and competitive examinations.

Teachers from Kurnool, Kadapa and Anantapur districts, along with their family members, participated in the rally that began at Kondareddy Buruju. They expressed anger over repeated attempts to cast doubt on their appointments, saying they had worked hard and made significant personal and family sacrifices to qualify for the recruitment process.

The participants said they had obtained their jobs through a transparent, examination-based selection process and that government officials had already issued clarifications regarding questions raised about the appointments. They questioned the need for continuing allegations despite these explanations.

“If candidates earn government jobs through hard work and merit, how can the Mega DSC be called a scam?” the teachers asked, urging political parties not to undermine the credibility of thousands of successful candidates for political gains.

They also questioned the YSRCP's record during its previous five-year tenure, asking how many DSC recruitment drives were conducted and how many teacher posts were actually filled during that period.

The teachers said the coalition government had undertaken more than 16,000 DSC appointments in line with its commitment. They alleged that repeated accusations and misinformation were causing mental distress to newly appointed teachers and their families.

The rally participants demanded that political parties stop politicising their appointments and respect the dignity and hard work of candidates who cleared the selection process.
