New Vande Bharat trains proposed from Hyderabad to Pune and Nanded

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has announced that proposals are being readied to launch new Vande Bharat Express trains connecting Secunderabad–Pune and Hyderabad–Nanded . The move comes as part of efforts to expand premium rail connectivity between Telangana and key cities in Maharashtra.

According to the minister, both routes have been identified as high-demand sectors, with heavy passenger traffic between Hyderabad and Maharashtra. The introduction of Vande Bharat services is expected to significantly reduce travel time while offering modern amenities and improved comfort compared to existing trains.

This development follows earlier reports that the South Central Railway (SCR) had been working on plans to deploy Vande Bharat trains on these sectors, including sleeper variants for longer journeys. The proposals highlight the government’s commitment to strengthening railway infrastructure and boosting inter-state connectivity for Telangana.

The Hyderabad Metro and Indian Railways network have already seen increased attention in recent years, with new services and station upgrades under way. If approved, these new Vande Bharat trains could mark another milestone, enhancing travel convenience for business commuters, students, and families traveling between Telangana and Maharashtra.

An official timeline for the launch has not yet been announced, but railway sources suggest the services could be rolled out once approvals and scheduling are finalized.
