G. Sai Prasad, a 1991-batch IAS officer , who assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary (CS) of Andhra Pradesh with effect from March 1, 2026 , paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday. During the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Amaravati, the CS presented a bouquet and extended his greetings.
This was Sai Prasad’s first official meeting with the Chief Minister after formally taking charge from K. Vijayanand on Saturday.
Sai Prasad’s initial term as Chief Secretary is expected to continue until his retirement on May 31, 2026 , unless the government grants an extension beyond that date.

Meanwhile, former Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand also met the Chief Minister on Sunday. The government has appointed him as the Ex-officio Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister , and he discussed matters related to his new responsibilities during the meeting.
