Netflix expands operations in Hyderabad with new office space
Hyderabad has added another major milestone to its growing reputation as a global business hub. Streaming giant Netflix is expanding its footprint in the city by leasing 41,000 square feet of office space at the CapitaLand building in Hitec City.
Interestingly, the same building also houses Warner Bros. Discovery, another leading international media company. Industry experts say that having two global media powerhouses operating from one location reflects Hyderabad’s rising prominence in the international business, technology, and media sectors.
The arrival of Netflix is being viewed as further proof that Hyderabad is evolving into a global technology and media hub. Experts believe that the presence of such world-class companies will significantly boost employment opportunities and contribute to Telangana’s economic growth.
In 2025, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Telangana government made remarkable progress in attracting multinational corporations to the city. Within this year alone, more than 20 global giants - including Eli Lilly, Vanguard, T-Mobile, McDonald’s, Johnson & Johnson, and Costco - have set up their Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in Hyderabad.
According to sources, Netflix’s Hyderabad office will focus not only on content creation but also on technical and operational support. The facility is expected to handle production and post-production work for content in Telugu and other South Indian languages, along with engineering, backend operations, technology workflows, and talent management.
This means the Hyderabad office will serve as much more than a regional sales or marketing base - it will play a strategic role in Netflix’s global operations, combining content production, technology innovation, and regional expansion under one roof.
