Nepalese President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to address a joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 3:00 pm, in a major political engagement since the nationwide March 5 general elections.

According to the Office of the President, the address at the Federal Parliament Building in Kathmandu will bring together members of both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly under Article 95 of the Constitution, which empowers the President to summon both Houses and deliver an address on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

A formal letter has been sent to the Parliament Secretariat to ensure all necessary arrangements for Friday’s session, and the Secretariat is expected to issue an official notice soon. All lawmakers from the Upper and Lower Houses have been called to attend. This address will be President Paudel’s first speech to the newly convened Parliament , underscoring a key moment in Nepal’s evolving democratic cycle under the freshly constituted legislature.

The session occurs as the newly elected House of Representatives begins its legislative work after the general election, marking a transition to a new political era following a significant shift in parliamentary composition.
