Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has stepped up preparations for the upcoming Atmakur municipal elections, with the NDA alliance focusing on a coordinated campaign across all wards. The polling date is yet to be officially announced by the State Election Commission.

Reddy held a meeting with NDA alliance election observers at his residence in Nellore on Sunday to review the political situation in Atmakur and chalk out the strategy for the municipal polls. The discussions focused on strengthening the alliance at the grassroots level and ensuring better coordination among its constituent parties.

The meeting covered the ward-wise political situation, selection of candidates, their electoral prospects and coordination between local leaders and party workers. The leaders also discussed the need to understand the ground-level dynamics in each ward before finalising candidates.

Reddy stressed the importance of choosing strong and capable candidates and preparing a focused action plan for every ward. He also called for greater coordination between the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP cadres to ensure that the alliance functions as a united team during the election process.

The minister asked alliance leaders and workers to take the state government's development and welfare programmes to voters and explain the benefits of the initiatives at the grassroots level. He said coordinated efforts would be essential to strengthen the alliance's campaign across Atmakur.

Reddy also emphasised the need to uphold the coalition understanding and seat-sharing arrangement among the three parties. He urged leaders and cadres to work together and avoid differences that could affect the alliance's election preparations.

Meanwhile, preparations for Andhra Pradesh's urban local-body elections are continuing, with polling-station arrangements already undertaken in several municipalities. However, the SEC has not yet issued the formal election notification or polling schedule.

Reddy called upon the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP workers to maintain unity and work collectively at the ward level as the alliance prepares for the upcoming Atmakur municipal polls.
