NBK112 Shelved? Team Breaks Silence On Balakrishna-Koratala Siva Film

Nandamuri Balakrishna and Koratala Siva’s NBK112 is not being shelved, the film’s team has clarified after reports about the project being called off spread online. “There is no truth in the reports of the film being shelved,” the team said, adding that the project is on track and its regular shoot will begin after Balakrishna completes his ongoing film with Gopichand Malineni.

The rumours gained attention because of reports about the film’s large budget and delay in starting the shoot. NBK112 was earlier said to be made on a budget of around Rs 150 crore to Rs 200 crore. At the time of its launch, the makers were reportedly looking at an August 2026 start and a Summer 2027 release. However, no release date has been officially announced.

Some recent reports claimed that the team was discussing ways to reduce the scale and bring down the budget. There has also been talk about changes to the story and concerns over the second half. Reports have further linked the delay to Balakrishna’s injury and his current film schedule. These remain industry reports and have not been confirmed by the makers.

NBK112 was officially launched in Amaravati on June 25, marking the first collaboration between Balakrishna and Koratala Siva. The film is being planned as a large-scale pan India entertainer and is backed by SLV Cinemas and Yuvasudha Arts. Anirudh Ravichander is associated with the project for music.

Koratala Siva had earlier spoken about his excitement over working with Balakrishna, saying, “I grew up watching NBK’s films, and like all of you, I am also a fan of NBK.” He also promised to deliver a memorable film for fans.

For now, the shelving reports can be put to rest. NBK112 is moving ahead, with the team expected to reveal more details about the cast, title and shooting schedule soon.
