
Nayi Chetana 4.0 Gender Equality Campaign Launched at Tulluru
The Nayi Chetana 4.0 gender equality campaign was launched at Tulluru with the aim of reducing discrimination against women and promoting equal opportunities in society. The programme was stated to reflect the joint efforts of the Central and State governments to strengthen gender equality initiatives.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of Union Minister Pemmasani Chandrasekhar , State Minister S. Kondapalli , and Tenali MLA Sravan , along with local leaders and officials. As part of the programme, a Gender Resource Centre was also inaugurated to support awareness, guidance and empowerment programmes for women.
Speaking on the occasion, it was stated that Nayi Chetana 4.0 focused on changing social attitudes towards women and ensuring their equal participation in education, employment and public life. The initiative was described as an important step towards building a more inclusive and equitable society.
The contribution of late N.T. Rama Rao (NTR) towards women’s empowerment in Andhra Pradesh was also recalled. It was stated that NTR was the first leader in the state to recognise women’s strength and take concrete steps for their empowerment. Measures such as granting property rights to women and providing political opportunities were cited as landmark reforms that strengthened women’s position in society.
It was further stated that these reforms enabled many women to rise to leadership positions over the years, including at the ministerial level. Pride was expressed in being associated with the Telugu Desam Party , which was described as having a long-standing commitment to women’s empowerment.
Gratitude was also expressed to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for providing an opportunity to serve in the capacity of Home Minister , with emphasis placed on continuing efforts to promote equality and social justice.
