Nayanthara and Rajinikanth have previously shared screen space in several films, including 'Chandramukhi' (2005), 'Kuselan' (2008), 'Darbar' (2020) and 'Annaatthe' (2021). However, the makers have not yet disclosed details about her character or the film’s storyline.
Directed by Ashwath Marimuthu and produced by actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, 'Dharman' has already begun production, with the team completing several shooting schedules. Although an official release date is yet to be announced, the film is reportedly being planned for a theatrical release during Pongal 2027.
The film also features Simran, Raashii Khanna and Sreeleela in important roles. Meanwhile, actor Ram Pothineni has reportedly been approached to play the main antagonist, though the makers have not officially confirmed his involvement.
