National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) Opens 2025–26 Admissions
The admission process for the 2025–26 academic year at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) has been opened, and a comprehensive step-by-step user guide has been released to assist applicants in completing their online registration. The entire procedure has been made available through the official information portal ( https://www.nfsu.ac.in/admission ) and the registration portal ( https://nfsuadm.samarth.edu.in ).
According to the instructions, applicants are required to begin the process with an initial registration using their name, personal email ID and mobile number. It has been stated that the name entered must match the Class X Board marksheet. An OTP sent to the registered email is required to be entered for verification before the applicant is allowed to proceed. After verification, access to the dashboard is enabled, where the “Complete Profile” option is to be selected.
Personal details including date of birth, gender, family information, address, category and bank account details are required to be filled in. It has been emphasised that category claims must align with the central lists notified by the Government of India. OBC (NCL) applicants must belong to the updated central list of the National Commission for Backward Classes, while SC/ST applicants must refer to the central list of their respective states.
Applicants are then directed to provide information on extracurricular activities and NSS participation, after which a set of documents including a photograph, signature and date of birth certificate are required to be uploaded in the prescribed formats. Once uploaded, applicants are instructed to lock their profiles after accepting the declaration. The guidelines warn that once locked, certain details, including category, cannot be changed.
The guide states that programme selection must be made from a drop-down list, followed by the choice of the study centre. For programmes where national-level test scores such as CAT, JEE, GATE or CLAT are required, applicants must enter their respective application numbers and scores. It has been clarified that discrepancies or incorrect information may lead to cancellation at any stage.
If a programme is offered across multiple campuses, applicants are required to provide their campus preferences in order of priority. The application fee varies based on the number of campuses selected and the category of the applicant. Fees range from ₹800 to ₹3,000 depending on the category and the number of campuses chosen.
For programmes requiring the National Forensic Aptitude Test (NFAT) 2025, applicants must choose three examination cities in preferential order. It has been stated that efforts will be made to allocate centres as per preference, although changes may be necessitated by administrative reasons. Applicants have been advised to keep track of notifications regarding correction windows and updates on the university’s admission portal.
Academic details from Class 10, Class 12 and graduation levels are required to be entered. Candidates who are appearing or awaiting results must enter an average based on available marks. Institutions that follow a CGPA system require conversion to percentage as per official formula. Academic documents, category certificates and other mandatory certificates are to be uploaded clearly to avoid rejection.
A complete preview of the application form is made available before final submission. Payment must then be completed through the Razorpay gateway via UPI, debit card, credit card or net banking. Applicants have been advised to check card limits, UPI transaction limits and account balances before proceeding.
After successful payment, the application status is updated as “Application Submitted”, and a form number is generated. Applicants may download and print the completed form. Those who fail to complete payment will see their status marked as “Not Paid/Not Submitted”. The university has advised applicants to regularly check the dashboard for further instructions or scrutiny-related messages.
