National champion Jagathishree eyes Asia Circuit glory

Fresh off a stellar performance at the National Circuit Racing Championship in Chennai, India’s Jagathishree Kumaresan is all set to take on the second round of the FIM(Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) Asia Women’s Circuit Racing Championship at the Lihpao International Karting Circuit in Taiwan.

A three-time Indian national champion, Jagathishree has earned her place on the international stage through a series of strong performances in domestic competitions. In 2024, she clinched the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (Girls Stock 165cc) and also emerged victorious in the National Drag Racing Championship (Ladies Class).

This year, she continued her winning streak, triumphing in the early rounds of the MMSC FMSCI Motorcycle Racing Nationals and the TVS RTR 200 Women’s Races as the lead rider for the One Racing team. Under the guidance of experienced coach and One Racing Team Principal Mohamed Hanif, Jagathishree has firmly established herself among India’s top female motorcycle racers.

She now looks forward to testing her skills against Asia’s best riders in Taiwan.
