Nari Shakti Powers India’s Progress: Pawan Kalyan
India is undergoing a notable transformation, with the influence of Nari Shakti increasingly visible across sectors, Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan said. He noted that women are no longer confined to traditional roles and are actively shaping the country’s progress.
In a statement issued on Sunday, he highlighted several achievements that reflect this shift. He praised chess player R. Vaishali for earning a place as the first Indian woman to challenge for the World Chess Championship after her performance at the FIDE Women’s Candidates Tournament in Cyprus. He also acknowledged the global success of athletes P. V. Sindhu , Mirabai Chanu , and Nikhat Zareen .
Pawan Kalyan pointed to women’s growing role in leadership and science, citing President Droupadi Murmu and space scientist Ritu Karidhal as examples of excellence in governance and research.
He emphasized that women’s empowerment is rooted in the Indian Constitution and credited leaders such as Dakshayani Velayudhan , Hansa Mehta , Durgabai Deshmukh , Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit , and Rajkumari Amrit Kaur for laying the foundation for equality.
Calling the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam (Amendment Bill) 2026 a landmark step, he said the provision of 33% reservation for women in legislatures would strengthen their role in governance.
Reaffirming his party’s commitment, Pawan Kalyan said the Jana Sena Party continues to support women’s empowerment, adding that stronger women lead to stronger families and a stronger nation.
