Nara Rohith Unveils Sound Engineer on Birthday, Yuvan Shankar Raja On Board

Nara Rohith has given fans the perfect birthday surprise by officially announcing his next film, Sound Engineer, with a quirky and entertaining concept video that has already sparked curiosity across social media. Known for picking unconventional scripts, the actor appears to be returning with yet another refreshing entertainer that blends comedy, emotions and music.

Written and directed by Chinimilli Mani Kumar, Sound Engineer stars Nayan Sarika as the female lead, while Naresh Vijaya Krishna, Rohini, Sampath Raj, and Ajay play pivotal roles. The film is being produced by Bharath Chowdary under the Karan C Productions LLP banner. Adding to the excitement, celebrated composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music, marking another eagerly awaited Telugu album from the hit musician, while Venkat C. Dileep handles the cinematography.

The announcement video is anything but ordinary. Narrated in a hilarious style by comedian Sudarshan, the glimpse introduces Rohith's character, Vishnu, a man with a hearing impairment whose unusual condition lands him the amusing nickname "Sound Engineer." Packed with witty dialogues, clever visual gags and situational humour, the video hints that the film will offer a wholesome entertainer with an unconventional protagonist at its centre.

The makers have also unveiled a creatively designed title logo featuring sound waves, musical elements, handwritten doodles and a speaker shaped heart, subtly reflecting the film's musical backdrop and light hearted tone. In contrast, the first look poster presents Rohith in a serene meditative pose while the people around him appear anxious, adding another layer of intrigue to the character and suggesting there is much more to Vishnu than meets the eye.

Interestingly, the project was launched earlier this year under the working title #RN23, and the official title reveal has now set the stage for its promotional campaign. The makers have also confirmed that Sound Engineer is slated for a December 2026 theatrical release, making it one of the year's most anticipated mid budget Telugu entertainers.

With its offbeat premise, feel good humour, strong technical crew and Yuvan Shankar Raja's music, Sound Engineer looks set to showcase Nara Rohith in one of his most distinctive roles in recent years. If the announcement video is any indication, audiences can expect a film that's equal parts laughter, emotion and heart.
