Nani, The Paradise Team Seek Blessings at Medaram Temple Amid Box Office Run
Natural Star Nani, director Srikanth Odela and the team of The Paradise visited the Sri Sammakka Saralamma Devasthanam at Medaram to seek blessings for the film. The team participated in special poojas and made offerings at the temple, including gold equivalent to Nani’s weight.
The temple visit came as The Paradise continues its theatrical run with mixed signals at the box office. The Telugu action drama has reportedly collected around ₹145 crore worldwide gross in its first five days, according to trade reports. While the film has maintained a comparatively strong hold in the Nizam region, its collections have seen sharper declines in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Ceeded.
The film reportedly recorded a significant weekday drop on its fifth day, with India net collections estimated at around ₹5 crore, representing a nearly 68 per cent decline from the previous day. However, the film had a strong opening weekend and crossed some of Nani's earlier benchmarks in terms of initial theatrical performance.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise features Nani in the lead role and is positioned as an intense action drama. The film has generated considerable attention because of the combination of Nani and Odela, who previously worked together on Dasara.
With holidays approaching, the makers are hoping for improved footfalls and stronger occupancy over the coming days. The team’s Medaram visit also served as a promotional moment, with the makers encouraging audiences to continue supporting the film in theatres.
The coming holiday period will be important for The Paradise as its theatrical performance will depend on whether it can stabilise after the weekday drop and convert the holiday advantage into sustained collections.
