Nalgonda Elevated to Municipal Corporation, Komatireddy Vows ‘Super Smart City’ Makeover

The state government has issued orders declaring Nalgonda town as a Municipal Corporation . In this context, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy extended gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on behalf of the people of Nalgonda. He stated that the goal is to transform Nalgonda into a “ Super Smart City ” under people-centric governance. With the corporation status, the town now has the opportunity to receive funds directly from the central government, which will enable development projects to be implemented more rapidly.

The minister described it as a historic milestone that Nalgonda has achieved corporation status in just 25 months and expressed confidence that development will now proceed significantly faster compared to the past. He mentioned key initiatives, including Indiramma housing construction , double road expansions, central lighting improvements, and the construction of the Outer Ring Road (ORR) with an investment of ₹700 crore. Additionally, projects such as a 6-lane road up to Dharveshpuram , development of Brahmagari Gutta and Latif Sahib Darga Gutta areas, and the construction of Dorepalli and Anantaram roads are set to be implemented.

The government is committed to completing the SLBC project , and ₹450 crore has been allocated for lining the AMRP canals , the minister revealed. Emphasizing that Nalgonda will be developed in the style of Hyderabad, beyond political considerations, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy appealed to the public to cooperate in the corporation’s development with peace and harmony.
