Nagaland police announced 1,176 vacancies: Apply now!

Nagaland DGP Rupin Sharma on Tuesday announced one of the largest recruitment drives in recent years, opening 1,176 posts for general-duty constables. The long-delayed process was finalised after consultations with relevant departments, agencies, and tribal organisations. To support candidates affected by past delays and the COVID-19 pandemic, the upper age limit has been relaxed to 38 years.

For the first time, the entire application process will be conducted online, with no physical forms accepted. Candidates can apply from October 6 to November 7 using either self-application or assisted modes through a one-time registration (OTR) system. Another recruitment cycle, likely for 1,200 posts, may follow in the next five to six months, depending on training capacities.

Selected candidates will join the Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB). The written test may not use OMR sheets to ensure fairness for candidates with lower qualifications. Reservations for certain communities are on hold and will be implemented later.
