Naga Shaurya’s Bad Boy Karthik locks April 17 theatrical release

Actor Naga Shaurya is gearing up for his next big-screen outing with Bad Boy Karthik , an action-romantic entertainer that is set to arrive in theatres on April 28 . The announcement has generated buzz among fans, as the film promises a mix of action, romance and commercial entertainment.

Directed by debutant Raam Desina , the film presents Naga Shaurya in a rugged and intense avatar as Karthik, a rebellious young man navigating love, violence and personal transformation. The film’s early promotional material showed the actor with blood-stained hands and a fierce look, hinting at a dramatic narrative with mass appeal.

The film features newcomer Vidhi Yadav as the female lead opposite Shaurya, bringing a youthful romantic track to the story. Supporting the lead pair is a strong ensemble cast that includes veteran performers such as Samuthirakani , who reportedly plays the powerful character Varadha Reddy, along with well-known actors Sai Kumar , Naresh , and Sridevi Vijaykumar in important roles.

Adding further depth to the film is a long list of popular character actors and comedians, including Vennela Kishore , Brahmaji , Prudhvi Raj , Mime Gopi , Nellore Sudarshan , Krishnudu , Chammak Chandra , Ajay , and Shivannarayana Naripeddi , suggesting that the film will blend intense action with humour and family-drama elements.

Shot across multiple locations since its production began in August 2024, the film wrapped principal photography in 2025 and is now in the final stages of post-production.
