Naga Chaitanya Teases ‘Vrushakarma’ Update Amid December Release Speculation
Naga Chaitanya has sparked fresh curiosity around his upcoming film ‘Vrushakarma’, with his latest social media post hinting that an important update could be arriving soon. The film, directed by Karthik Varma Dandu, has already generated considerable buzz with its mythological setting, supernatural elements and large-scale visual effects.
The project stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, while ‘Laapataa Ladies’ fame Sparsh Shrivastava plays a key negative role. Zarina Wahab and Jayaram are also part of the cast. Chaitanya plays Arjun, a treasure hunter, in a role that marks a departure from his recent outings.
The film’s first glimpse, released in March 2026, offered a glimpse into its dark world, featuring mysterious supernatural forces, black magic and intense action. Chaitanya has also undergone a physical transformation for the character. The actor previously revealed that the film is heavily dependent on VFX, with the team aiming to create a large-scale theatrical experience.
Production has progressed through major schedules, including a shoot in Rajasthan, where the team filmed amid historic palaces. The makers subsequently said that post-production and extensive CGI work were progressing and hinted that a release-date announcement would follow.
While reports have suggested a December 2026 release, the makers have not officially locked a date. The December schedule has become more competitive after Nagarjuna’s ‘King100’ was officially announced for December 24, 2026.
Produced by BVSN Prasad and Sukumar, ‘Vrushakarma’ features music by Ajaneesh B Loknath and cinematography by Ragul D Herian. With Chaitanya now teasing another update, attention is firmly on whether the team will finally reveal the film’s release date or unveil new promotional material.
